Two more people have been arrested in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

The arrests follow a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was one of the injured during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later released.

Police detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault near the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Police were called at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people injured by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.

The attack - which authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
